About the Author: Shana Kaur Bedi is a mom of two and public health professional with a Master of Public Health. She has dedicated her career to global and national tobacco control advocacy, policy, and education. After becoming a mother in 2023, Shana recognized a need for Sikh books for toddlers. She created the Mahi and Apaar series to introduce Sikh values, identity, and the true Sikh American experience to our youngest readers, ensuring they see themselves reflected from the very start.
