Our next contributor was an integral member of the team that brought this textbook to life! He has been involved since it’s inception, specifically providing reading comprehension writings for the worksheets and a beautiful poem titled “ਮਾਂ ਬੋਲੀ” featured at the beginning of the textbook. He also did countless revisions and edits of the textbook as a whole over many years. This book would not have been possible without his contribution!
Harbhajan is a retired educator. He achieved a Masters of Education from the University
of La Verne, and worked for the Yuba City Unified School District for 34 years working in the district office and as a math teacher. He has been an incredible sevadar, volunteering his time in a myriad of roles at the Gurdwara in Yuba City since he came to the US in 1974. He was the lead coordinator for 25 years for Yuba City’s renowned annual Sikh Parade. He has been a longtime director at the Gurdwara, Vice President of Punjabi Sahit Sabha California, and a member of the Punjabi American Heritage Society. Thank you Harbhajan for your exemplary service to not only our book, but our community as a whole!
